Halloween
Halloween was a fun experience this year. McGillicutty understood a little more and got the hang of trick-or-treating at our church party the week before. He was a lion and little brother was a cow. G went around "roaring" to everyone (who all thought it was adorable of course!). He had a few opportunities to wear his costume (which we found, along with baby's, at Goodwill for a miniscule amount - just wash and ready to wear! Easy!) between friend's bday party and little preschool party (we go to an hour long class twice a week at the rec center) and church party and the actual holiday. He went around all week saying, "I love my lion" and hugging it and carrying it around the house. I was really glad about that because I was nervous he wouldn't want to wear it. He went around the neighborhood with his cousins (all of whom are pictured behind us in the pic below) and didn't stop running between the houses! He wouldn't take the hood off of his costume either to be cooler so he was extremely sweaty by the time they were done. He slowed down about half-way through because he was so thirsty and kept asking for his "drink o' water" so dad had to run back to the house to get a drink. Then all was well again. I ended up cutting out a little early to feed the baby and put him to sleep, then we enjoyed the rest of the evening sitting out with our neighbors passing out candy while staying cozy by their little portable fire pit they had moved out front for the occasion. At the church trunk or treat party.
